Great question, and we’re glad you asked. Whether you choose us or choose someone else, please ensure that they are legally allowed to administer the treatment you are planning. There are many high street beauty salons that illegally administer these treatments. At the booth of youth our team is medically qualified, trained specifically on facial aesthetics and fully insured and indemnified. Our prices are open and upfront, we only use leading brands (Botox Cosmetics and Juvederm) and most of all we care passionately about giving you the best treatment and the best service. Always!

The administration of anti-wrinkle injections (Botox) and dermal fillers is a regulated procedure. But rest assured that all of our team at the booth of youth are suitably qualified, experienced and insured. What’s more, the booth of youth is within tooth dental surgery, which is a clinical environment fully registered and regulated by the CQC (Care Quality Commission). Our practitioners are also registered dental professionals with the GDC (General Dental Council). Dr. Anna Olczak, our lead facial aesthetics professional is a registered dentist, with additional medical postgrad qualifications, as well as having completed a variety of facial aesthetic courses and qualifications, including Level 7 Diploma in Facial Aesthetics from MATA Academy.

At the booth of youth we think it is very important to use the best quality materials. That’s why we always use leading brands such as Botox Cosmetics, Juvederm, Tesoro, Profhilo and Dr. CYJ Hair Fillers, all with very strong case histories and very good reputations. Some of these products, such as Botox, are only available on prescription, and that’s why we always start with a free consultation to assess and diagnose and discuss what’s right for you.

Yes! Of course we do – we aren’t a brand that spends all of our time on social media, we’d rather spend time with our lovely patients, giving the best facial aesthetics treatments in London, by far. But when we do get a moment we post just a few of our facial aesthetics before and after photos on our gallery page which you can find here and on our Insta page.

About our Treatments

At the booth of youth, we offer a range of treatments including Botox and Dermal Fillers, to enhance your natural beauty, improve your self-confidence and fight signs of aging.

This is something that will be discussed with your medically qualified consultant. We will not administer treatments if you are medically unviable or if we feel that they aren’t right for you at this stage. There is no pressure or upselling at the booth of youth, just honest no obligation advice. If you are unsure or hesitant, then we always recommend that you don’t proceed, or if we feel that you already have too much filler or treatment then we may refuse to treat you. Remember, your true beauty is always within.

Anti-wrinkle (Botox) injections help smooth out wrinkles and lines on the face. They can also be used for some medical treatments too, such as grinding and excessive sweating. They work by temporarily preventing the injected muscles from moving and have been in common use as a prescribed treatment for many years.

Fillers are a substance like gel, usually made from a material called hyaluronic acid. They are injected under the skin to achieve a ‘rejuvenated’ look to the area by reducing the appearance of unwanted wrinkles and/or helping to create volume and contour the skin.

Hyaluronic acid is a sugar molecule that is already naturally produced by your body, mostly found in skin, eyes and connective tissue. It helps keep skin plump and hydrated, in your body helping to retain over 1000 times its weight in water within the cells of the skin.

Change: Some of our treatments use prescription and/or medically regulated materials. They can legally only be administered by medical professionals who reach a certain level of medical qualification. For anti-wrinkle treatments, this typically means a Dentist, Doctor or Dental Hygienist. Whether you choose the booth of youth or another establishment – please check the qualifications and legality of the treatment.

Both anti-wrinkle injections (Botox) and dermal fillers (fillers) are relatively quick treatments. Exact time will depend on the amount of areas that you are having treated, but typically appointments will last between 30-60 minutes for fillers, and around 10-20 minutes for anti-wrinkle treatments.

For anti-wrinkle treatments (Botox), results last on average 3-4 months and for dermal fillers, results typically last for 6-12 months, but the exact time that they last will actually vary from patient to patient. This is because it will depend on how quickly each individual metabolises the fillers. More details will be given at your free consultation.

This is something that we cannot advise on prior to consultation, as it varies between people, and between sexes owing to the facial muscles, surface area etc. We wish we could – it isn’t because we are trying to keep the price a secret or withhold information, it simply isn’t a case of one zone for crow’s feet, two zones for forehead etc. The same applies for fillers. Your facial aesthetics professional will tell you upfront what you will need if suitable for treatment and how much it will cost in line with our open and upfront prices here.

Whilst the exact price will depend on your individual needs, area of treatment and amount of product required, you can see all of our guide prices on our prices page. All of our treatments start with a free consultation, where full price details can be given once we have seen the areas involved so there will never be any nasty surprises once you have agreed to proceed.

Whilst there is no ‘recovery time’ required after dermal fillers or anti-wrinkle (Botox) injections, to reduce your risk and to maximise the benefits of the treatment you are having, there are some important but simple things to do and not do before and after the treatments. You can find all the details here: Pre and Post-Treatment Advice

About the Risks

As with any medical procedure, the use of Botox, dermal fillers and skin boosters is not without risk. At the booth of youth we take our commitment to patient safety very seriously. We never suggest treatment that is not suitable and only medical professionals with the appropriate certified level of medical attainment ever perform our treatments.

With all medications there can be side effects. The most commonly noted side effects of dermal fillers relate to the treated area, such as bruising, swelling, some soreness/pain around area and itching. Less commonly reported side effects can include lumps/bumps, change in pigmentation or infections. As with all medications there are also very rare but serious risks which can include scarring, allergic reaction leading to anaphylactic shock and partial vision loss. If you have any concerns at all you should discuss these with your consultant and treatment provider before treatment.

Typically, most side effects will appear soon after the treatment and be gone within two weeks, but some can be delayed. You are advised to check the side effects and discuss with your facial aesthetics professional if you have any concerns.

With all medications there can be side effects. Known side effects of anti-wrinkle injections can include swelling, bruising or pain at the injection site.

Additional side effects can include headache or flu like symptoms, crooked smile and/or drooling, dry eyes or excessive eye watering (tears).

More rarely, if the toxin spreads in your body, side effects can include weakness of muscles, impairment of sight, breathing issues, bladder control issues and trouble speaking or swallowing. If you experience any of these rarer symptoms following treatment and up to some weeks afterwards you should notify us and call your doctor immediately.

If you have a cow’s milk allergy you should not use botulinum toxins.

You are advised to check the side effects and discuss with your facial aesthetics professional if you have any concerns.

With any medical procedure there is a risk, that’s why we only administer injections after a full consultation and at the discretion of the treatment provider. You will be required to complete a medical history form before your consultation and a consent form before treatment commences and we will review any medical issues at the consultation. This is because your safety is always our priority.

Firstly, congratulations and we wish you all the best with your little bundle of joy, but now isn’t the time for these treatments and it is not recommended that you have anti-wrinkle (Botox) injections or dermal fillers when pregnant or breastfeeding, so we will not be able to treat you at this stage.
