When people talk about Botox (botulinum toxin) they often think of one thing – driven by old photos of celebs who’d had, let’s just say …. too much Botox or bad Botox! The completely frozen foreheads, the zero facial expressions….. I know what you’re imagining!
But the reality of Botox as a treatment is a very different thing. At the booth of youth, we’re all about sensible, ethical treatments that enhance and improve appearance. Subtle tweaks to the already beautiful you. We enhance, we don’t change.
One thing that people often ask me is will it be too noticeable, but what’s interesting to remember is that other people are unlikely to really notice if you’ve had Botox, other than noticing you may look fresher, with wrinkles reduced. As an experienced facial aesthetics professional the first thing I’d always do is ask the patient what they are trying to achieve, and then we go from there, together, to achieve the desired look and effect. And just for the record, it’s very very rare that anyone has asked me for a really noticeable, super strength forehead freeze!
There are many areas where Botox can be really effective – most common are helping to reduce the little fine wrinkles around the eyes (known as crow’s feet), reducing frown lines on the forehead and even for reducing grinding of teeth or clenching of jaws – this is known as Bruxism in dental terms.
I’m always happy when my patients are happy. The subtle tweaks that Botox can create can have such a positive effect on patients. I notice how much more confident patients feel, and they tell me how happy they are with their ‘new look’. I’m a very firm believer that true beauty is within, and that ageing is one of life’s natural processes that shouldn’t be ran away from, it should be embraced! But I’m also a strong believer that everyone has a right to do what they want to make them feel happy – and that really is the crux of the booth or youth’s whole ethos.
If you aren’t happy with wrinkles then why wouldn’t you do something about them? Some people are, some people aren’t – and both of those things are fine. Sometimes Mother Nature can be a real meanie, and for those that feel that way, then Botox (or dermal fillers) is a way to let your appearance age on your terms.
At the booth of youth we’d never encourage anyone to have a treatment but we will do all we can to encourage those that want one to embrace it. All appointments start with a free, no obligation consultation to discuss what’s right for you – medically and aesthetically.
As medical professionals we understand the importance of safe, ethical and correct treatments, so if you’re thinking about Botox (or dermal fillers), please choose your provider very carefully, and if you’re unsure, then feel free to book a free consultation with us and we can talk you through everything so you can make an informed choice – without any pressure and without any up selling. Guaranteed.
